So this post clears up two things on my list. Eat more veggies and Eat vegetarian at least once a week.
I went vegan on Oct 1, 2009. The night before, I made Dawn go to Ann Arbor with me so I could have my favorite sandwich one last time!!

This is definitely NOT vegan, but OH, how I wish it were!!!
So I ate it, it was delish, and the next day it was all veggies, all the time! I have made mistakes over the year (and I have flat out cheated), but overall, it's been a good change.
I'm thinking that for my one year anniversary I should treat myself to a New York Club!!! JUST KIDDING... (or am I???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Day Zero Project

This was such a fun project! Who knew? I was really bored one day and went over to the Anderson's General Market in Maumee, Ohio. I was only going to get one or two herbs, wasn't sure which ones, but I ended up getting 10-12. I also got some soil, a tray and one of those water globes that waters your garden when you forget (cause I knew I was going to!!!).
This is what it started out as!
Later, I had to start cutting some off because it started growing so much!
I also chopped off some mint. What am I going to do with mint??? I think I have finally discovered my new Signiture drink...
This was such a fun project that I planted another herb garden, this time, I made it in a hanging basket. I had wanted one of the topsy turvy tomato plants, then I saw a basket at Whiteford greenhouse and I copied from them!!!

101 Things to do in 1001 Days
Day Zero Project
The Mission:Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

1. Complete my 101/1001 list and add it to the Master list 05/04/2009 (OK, so I started a little early!!!)
2. Blog about each task as I complete it (Blogspot.com)
3. Buy a house
4. Belly dance Solo at either a restaurant or on stage (Belly Dance)
5. Lose weight – 90 – 100 lbs
6. Take diabetes/thyroid medication daily (0/1001)
7. Take a multi-vitamin daily (Sept 2010 - The One-A-Day Gummies make it very easy!!!)

9. Drink 8 glasses of water every day
10. Get health insurance
11. Start and contribute monthly to a retirement account
12. Write a business plan for:
a. restaurant,
b. bakery or
c. bed and breakfast

15. Practice yoga at least 2ce a week for flexibility
16. Hit the gym/exercise at least 4 days a week
